Angelus Medical Clinic, Inc. (AMCI) was established on January 20, 1989 as a subsidiary of Healthkard International, Inc. (HKI), one of the leading Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) in the country
In 1990, the company responded to a growing need for a well-screened and healthy workforce; hence, it applied for and received accreditation from the Department of Health (DOH) to provide Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) to seabased and landbased overseas workers.
It has earned its international merits by the fact that AMCI was the first clinic in the country to be QSS certified by PCAHO and ISO to the 9001:2008 standards.
