The University of Cagayan Valley (UCV) is the premiere academic institution of the Region that caters to the thirst of students, from all walks of life, to quality education.
It was formerly known as the CAGAYAN TEACHERS COLLEGE, and then CAGAYAN COLLEGES TUGUEGARAO, and now the UNIVERSITY OF CAGAYAN VALLEY, thanks to the dedication of the academe to give students the education and values that they deserve.
The University of Cagayan Valley is the first private non-sectarian academic institution in the Cagayan Valley Region founded in 1948 in the heart of Tuguegarao City by the late Dr. Matias P. Perez Sr. and Doña Caridad Ventura-Perez, now with Level III Accredited Programs by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), and offers a wide array of quality courses. At present, the University offers six (6) graduate programs, one (1) post-baccalaureate program, nineteen (19) degree programs, eight (8) non-degree programs, and complete secondary and elementary levels to more or less 9,000 student populace.
