The Norwegian Maritime Foundation of the Philippines, Inc. was registered with the SEC as a non-stock, non-profit corporation on April 3, 1990 by the members of the Norwegian Ship Owners’ Association. It was formed primarily to sponsor, support and maintain non-degree, special or continuing courses to upgrade the knowledge, qualification and training of Filipino seafarers working on board Norwegian-owned, managed or operated vessels in coordination with maritime institutions and enterprises in the Philippines and abroad.
